Definitely need an update here.  Still some confusion on the name of Phebe Hempstead and her brother John Hempstead's mother.  Still trying to find further info on Christopher Hempstead, the eldest son who presumably died in Albany, NY.  I have DNA results from 23 and Me, as well as My Heritage [I uploaded the results from 23 and Me to My Heritage], and hope to make some contact with a Hempstead descendant.  In the meantime I have found some census info on the children and grandchildren of Christopher Hempstead [Sr.] which I have yet to post.
